How to get to Ivan Dolac
Ivan Dolac lies on the south coast of Hvar — about 25 minutes by car from the Stari Grad ferry port.
By ferry from the mainland
Car ferries from Split arrive in Stari Grad, the closest port to us. From Drvenik a car ferry arrives in Sućuraj at the eastern end of the island. Fast catamarans from Split call at Hvar Town. Please check the current timetables with the ferry operator (Jadrolinija) before you travel.

Tip: the cheaper, more frequent ferry
The Drvenik–Sućuraj car ferry is much shorter (about 30 minutes) and runs more often than the Split–Stari Grad line (up to 11 departures a day in summer, against a crossing of roughly 2 hours). A car ticket also costs less than half as much (2026: about €14–20 versus €36–48). The catch: Sućuraj is at the eastern end of the island, so the drive to us takes about 1 h 20 min instead of 25 minutes from Stari Grad. It suits guests arriving from the south (Makarska, Dubrovnik) or anyone who wants to save on the crossing. Fares and timetables change — please check Jadrolinija before you travel.
